Summer is on the horizon, and a successful school year is almost complete, Paul VI turns its attention to its summer camp lineup. With exciting programs designed for middle school and high school students alike, the camps featured here will make the sunniest summer days even brighter – some of them might even move you from the spectator side to the star side of TikTok!
Best Camp for: Making the family vacation look like a Wes Anderson film.
The Paul VI Video Production Camp! This week-long course utilizes our own Paul VI state-of-the-art TV studio. Students will learn the basics of camera work, story boarding and editing to develop and film their own videos. Next summer, let TikTok follow YOUR template.
Best Way to: Use your locker as a dream board.
Come to Paul VI for high school where the school’s tech-rich environment replaces textbooks and notebooks with iPads. The iPad Camp enhances technology skills, provides tactile instruction on the device, and teaches mini-lessons in English, math, science and social studies. You can free the inside of your locker to build inspiration instead of storing supplies.
Best Camps for: Raising the bar on your Tik Tok content.
The Paul VI Drama and Dance Camps. The 2-week drama camp uses acting games, exercises, improv and scene work, while the week-long dance camp enables dancers to increase progress, improve technique, as well as learning and exploring choreography. Taken together, you’ll have the tools to start the project, that gets the following, that attracts the notice, that launches the career... and it all starts with summer camp!
Best Camps to: Stop those weird dreams where the robots take over.
The Paul VI Robotics Camp. Rising 7th and 8th grade students can make sure they stay at the top of the AI heap by building and programming EV3 Mindstorm Robots. Campers will participate in individual and team challenges during this 2-week course, discovering the science, math and technology used in high-tech industries. Pair it with the PVI Coding Camp, to become fluent in “robot speak”, create usable apps, and learn how to think, collaborate like a computer science pro!. These camps are arranged so that students can fill two summer work weeks with the tech-tools of their dreams, and show those robot nightmares who’s boss!
Best Way to: Get ready to share a fridge in college.
The Paul VI Science Camp. Students entering 6th, 7th or 8th grade will be able to claim that they extracted DNA from a piece of fruit, used solar energy to cook, and mastered chemical fingerprinting. In other words, you’ll know your food, you’ll cook your food, and you’ll be able to tell exactly who took your food. It’s the prep you really need for that college apartment!
