John Jenks and Paul Tanimae grew up playing soccer in South Jersey in the ’80s and early ’90s when youth sports were seasonal, there was more down time, less adult interference and therefore more time to chase the game on their own. Their shared experiences inform their approach to teaching and the reason they came together to form AKKA; to empower players to own the game!
