Padua Academy
Padua Academy celebrates 68 years of Catholic education in Delaware.

by Staff

Celebrating 68 years of Catholic education in Delaware, Padua Academy is located in the heart of North Wilmington’s historic “Little Italy” neighborhood. It is here that volunteers from the community answered the call to build the young women of St. Anthony of Padua Grade School “a school of their own." Since 1954, a lot has changed in the world, but one thing has remained the same at Padua: our goal to transform lives through learning, by providing young women with an educational experience rooted in faith and built on the foundation of service.

Located just 20 minutes from South Jersey, our all-girls, Catholic High School offers students a comprehensive college-preparatory education. Small class sizes and individualized attention, combined with 60-plus cutting-edge electives, 18 AP programs and one-of-a-kind business and university partnerships, contributes to our 100% college placement rate year after year.

Through a variety of extracurricular and athletic opportunities, students are well-prepared to continue on a lifelong journey of discovering their individual giftedness and coming to understand how to utilize those gifts in their own pursuits and in service to others. Volunteerism was literally built into the cornerstone of our school, and so we encourage our students to bring forward their ideas for helping those in our surrounding communities; no idea is ever too small.

Padua’s Athletics currently holds the most state championship titles for any female high school sports program in the history of Delaware. And with almost 50 student clubs and the ability to request more, there is something for everyone at Padua.

Padua strives to promote an inclusive environment where everyone is supported, challenged and accompanied through experiences that lead to spiritual, emotional and intellectual growth. We invite you to become a Panda for the Day to learn more. Current eighth-grade students are encouraged to register for one of our April Spring Shadow Days here: https://bit.ly/3J1YGWV.
