Dr. Andrea Davis
Davis obtained her doctorate of physical therapy from Misericordia University, where she also achieved her bachelor’s and master’s. She was a Division III athlete and coached on the Division I level. After 17 years of working for other physical therapists, she opened Davis Physical Therapy and Sports Rehab five years ago.
She specializes in the application of cutting-edge technology for rehabilitation and sports performance. Services include orthopedic PT with specializations in ACL, joint replacement, spine and return to play.
“I learned a great deal working with others in my career but I still thought I could do it differently and better,” says Davis. “I’ve always had my own idea of best practices including a supportive atmosphere for women practitioners and female athletes and patients. I want to be a good role model for those who want a successful career and family. It's not easy to find women in business and athletics to look up to. We work to provide Olympic-level care to every patient.”
Dr. Antoinette Shields
Shields joined Davis PTSR over two years ago and is now clinical director. She attended the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and received a Paratrooper Badge, Bronze Star medal and Army Accommodations while on active duty. She attended Neumann College’s doctoral physical therapy program as a Pat Tillman Military Scholar. Shields is concussion/vestibular-certified.
"Davis PTSR offers skilled therapy to all age groups, providing innovative care tailored to a patient's goals and fitness level. Our staff works together as a cohesive team focused on patient recovery in a supportive, safe environment. Our holistic approach to PT looks at every angle to address impairments and construct a plan to achieve goals and improve quality of life. Our facility never closed throughout COVID. We were able to treat in office or transition patients to teleheath seamlessly, so patients always received necessary care. Our practice hand-delivered home exercise programs and equipment to patient homes so they were able to continue PT via teleheath.”
