There’s no right way to raise a family, so we look into the unique situations many families in our area are living with every day. It starts with divorce, a decision that is never easy on anyone. We talk with local experts who share their tips on avoiding big mistakes during divorce to make the process of starting over easier.

Of course, you still need to pamper yourself and feel your best, which is why we took a look at the trend of health spas across our area. We learned about a ton of non-invasive surgery options available that turn your cosmetic procedure into a relaxing day off.

Then, we visit the topic of aging in place, another trend for seniors who wish to remain at home. We learned about resources available across the area to help with daily care, financial aspects and emotional help that keeps you from being overwhelmed by the inevitable.

Finally, we dig into everyone’s family favorite, the sandwich. Be it hot, cold, meatless or fully loaded, we share our favorite local sandwiches that have my mouth watering as I write this.

If you can’t tell by our cover, family matters to us. And this issue shows just how diverse, unique and beautiful the families and family members in our area are.
