Washington Township High School Girls’ Volleyball (pictured)
These girls raised upwards of $1,200 in a single afternoon for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation, in a game commemorating Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The team sold pink shirts in honor of school secretary Diane Harland, who recently passed away from breast cancer.

Lenape High School Marching Band
This musical group won first place at the Seneca Marching Band Competition and took one of two caption awards for best music. They also won first place at the Burlington City Marching Band Competition and took caption awards for Best Music, Visual, Color Guard and Overall Effect.

Cherry Hill High School East Football
After a powerful 41-6 victory over Winslow Township, the Cougars managed three consecutive wins to start off the season. The Cougars have already improved last year’s 1-9 record, with wins over Washington Township (31-27) and a 35-0 shutout over Clearview.

South Jersey Elite Barons
The U10 girls’ team won their first tournament of the season by taking the U10 Girls Pittsgrove Labor Day Tournament Championship. The team, which has players from different towns including Voorhees and Shamong, beat Monroe 6-0, Central Delaware 7-2, and Millville 6-1.

Haddonfield High School Boys’ Soccer
The Bulldogs’ varsity soccer team earned the program’s historic 600th win on Sept. 15, with an 8-1 victory over Audubon High School, moving the program record to 600-155-54.

Lenape High School Girls’ Cross Country
This team won both the Briarwood Invitational Cross Country Meet at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia, and the Six Flags Wild Safari Invitational Cross Country Meet at Great Adventure.

13U Washington Township Girls’ Soccer
The Red Raiders have already won two tournaments this year, the Marlton Summer Classic and the Philadelphia Soccer Club Tournament.

Moorestown High School Girls’ Volleyball
The Quakers began the season with a five-game winning streak, putting the team at No. 1 in their division.

Haddonfield Memorial High School Girls’ Soccer
The Bulldogs girls’ soccer team, under Coach Glenn Gess, started off the season strong with six straight wins. Even better, the team did not allow a single goal during that time.

Cherokee High School Girls’ Cross Country
Cherokee placed first in the Olympic Conference American Division cross country championship meet on Oct. 5. Five Cherokee runners placed between fifth and 10th overall, helping the Chiefs to earn 29 points and the team title.

Eastern Regional High School Girls’ Soccer
Eastern Regional High School’s girls’ soccer team, led by Coach Jamie McGroarty, is ranked No. 2 in South Jersey and 12th in the state. The team tied during a Sept. game against rival Lenape (ranked No. 1) and has a 7-3-1 record.

Maccabi USA Boys’ Basketball
Michael Cohen of Voorhees and Austin Wetzler of Cherry Hill helped lead their USA team to a gold medal in basketball in the Junior Division of the European Maccabi Games in Vienna. The team, made up of 12 boys, including three from New Jersey, competed against other athletes from around the world.
