Options for Her is hosting the first official Options for Her Life Walk on Saturday, June 15, at Veterans Park in Hamilton Township (Mercer County). This will be a gathering to honor and celebrate life while walking to raise awareness for Options for Her and the work they do to educate and to empower women and families in local communities who are faced with an unplanned pregnancy.
Matt Hammitt will be making an appearance as the musical guest. The three-time Dove Award recipient has been nominated for two Grammy Awards for his work with Sanctus Real, an American Christian rock band. Hammitt is also an author, speaker and representative of the “Dare to be a Dad” program, which challenges and encourages men to embrace their roles as fathers and to step up to fulfill that role to the best of their ability.
Bring your appetite, as there will be food trucks and a “kid zone” that will feature a circus-world playland, mega obstacle course, and triple-event trailer for a truly family fun-filled experience to fuel up and have fun both before and after the 5K Walk.
All proceeds raised for the Life Walk directly benefit Options for Her and the community they serve. Walking for life allows them to continue providing no-cost pregnancy services like pregnancy testing and ultrasound, material resources, educational programs, counseling and support to women facing unplanned pregnancies. This event prioritizes allowing participants to join in, to help and to give hope for the future to those within local communities.
