Specialty Services Offered: The Clinical Genetics Program is considered the top referral center and resource for complex conditions in the United States, and treats patients from around the country and the world on an inpatient and outpatient basis. The Center for Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment has the world’s first delivery unit exclusively for mothers carrying babies with known birth defects, while the Cancer Center has more than 60 pediatric oncologists and oncologic surgeons. The Cardiac Center is another example of one of CHOP’s more than 45 subspecialties.
Specialized Clinics and Programs Offered: CHOP offers a number of specialized programs, including the Pediatric Thyroid Center, the Center for Congenital Hyperinsulinism, the Newborn and Infant Chronic Lung Disease Program, Minds Matter (Pediatric Concussion Program) and the Airway Reconstruction Program. Upcoming Expansions Planned: Construction of the Buerger Center for Advanced Pediatric Care is currently underway as an expansion to CHOP’s main campus.
