Suburban Family's Top Hospitals for your Children's Care
When you’re a parent and your child is feeling under the weather—whether it’s a fever, an earache or something that could be potentially serious—you would love to be able to trade places, taking all the pain on yourself and making him or her feel normal again. Since that’s not possible, the next best thing is to find the finest pediatric care available, and we’re fortunate in this area to have amazing options in South Jersey, Philadelphia and Delaware. With intensive care units for newborns and children, specialists in a wide range of fields and dedicated doctors and nurses, these hospitals make it a priority every day to get children back to the healthy and joyful lives that every kid should get to experience.
While no one wants to imagine their child facing a serious illness, it’s best to be prepared in case the unthinkable happens. That’s why Suburban Family magazine has compiled its second annual list of the Top Hospitals for Your Children’s Care. The list was formulated through a comprehensive survey sent to each hospital, and it is complemented by our peer-to-peer survey of the top area children’s physicians, which lists the leading doctors in multiple pediatric specialties. In this guide, you will find important information on the types of specialty services available, whether hospitals have separate emergency rooms for children, the nurse-to-patient ratios, visiting hours for parents and much more. And you might just feel better knowing that if illness finds your child, he or she will be in good hands.
