Cherry Hill West Dance Team (pictured)
Cherry Hill West’s dance team was chosen as a finalist in the “One Dance, Once Chance” dance competition by Ovation TV, out of hundreds of schools, dance studios and competitive dance teams. The school’s team is one of 25 finalists competing to win a $10,000 grant for their school or $1,000 viewers’ choice award. Winners won’t be announced until next month, but the team received hundreds of votes for their performance video.

Shawnee Girls’ Swimming
Medford
Shawnee’s girls’ 200 medley relay swim team broke the school record on Jan. 28 with a time of 1:52.91. This was fastest time recorded at the school since 1984. Pictured: Julianna Foss, Kacie Dunham, Ali Wendel and Melissa Manuelli.

Lightning U12 Girls’ Travel Soccer
Marlton
The Marlton Lightning U12 Girls’ Travel soccer team captured the first-ever State Cup Championship for the Marlton girls travel program in December. The travel team is ranked No. 1 in the state for their age group, No. 2 in the region, and No. 9 in the nation.

Marlton Chiefs Fourth-grade Boys’ B-travel Basketball Team
The Marlton Chiefs fourth grade boys’ B-travel basketball team went undefeated and won the Second Annual Chiefs Holiday Classic 4B Division Championship in January. The final championship game was won with a score of 4-0.

Haddonfield Basketball Traveling A Team
The Haddonfield fifth-grade girls’ basketball A team won their division of the Voorhees Tip Off Classic Tournament. Pictured: Coach Lee Campo, Ashley Campo, Sasha Feinstein, Alana Brogan, Gabriela Connor, Megan Maynes, Coach Kevin Connor, Ella Dengler, Sophia Schwab, Sophie Kohs and Jennifer Scott.

AA Pop Warner Junior Midget Cheerleaders
Delran
The Delran AA Pop Warner Junior Midget Cheerleaders keep bringing in medals. The competitive team ranked first at the Burlington County Competition, at the Regional Qualifier at Temple University, and the Eastern Region Competition at Sun Bank Arena in Trenton. The girls then headed to the Pop Warner Youth Cheerleading National Competition in Orlando, Fla., where they placed third.

Moorestown youth Basketball Association 5th Grade Girls A Team
The fifth grade girls’ A team got a chance to play at the “Cathedral of Basketball” in a game at the Palestra at the University of Pennsylvania on Jan. 29. The team defeated Sacred Heart’s fifth grade girls’ team 28-20 there.

Beck Middle School Science Team Cherry Hill
This Science Team took second place in the Regional Division of the Science Olympiad in January. They medaled in all but three very challenging events during the competition. The middle school team team will now compete this March in the State Finals at Middlesex College.

Mount Laurel 6th Grade Basketball
The sixth grade boys’ team won the VOGT Tournament in Philadelphia in January. They also won the Joseph Kessler Memorial Basketball Association tournament in Marlton over the winter break.

Mount Laurel 8th Grade Basketball
This eighth grade boys’ team won the Marlton Recreation Council Tournament in Marlton, the team announced Feb. 3. The team’s record stands at 7-1.

Eastern Boys’ Basketball
Voorhees
The Vikings rose to No. 1 in South Jersey Group 4 after defeating No. 1 ranked team Paul Vi on Feb. 3, in their sixth straight win. The Vikings, with a record of 16-1 this season, secured the top seed in the South Jersey Group 4 playoffs.

Washington Township High School Boys’ Track
The Minutemen indoor track and field team earned gold at the NJSIAA Group IV state championship meet in Toms River. The Minutemen’s shuttle relay team earned first place with a time of 30.52 seconds, which set a new school record.
