Champions United Gymnastics Academy offers something for everyone.

Welcome to Champions United Gymnastics Academy of Mount Laurel, one of the best gymnastics facilities in New Jersey.

“We offer a wide variety of gymnastics programs for every - one from ages 2 through 18,” says founder and manager Mike Krivocheia. “We want to be the very best at everything we do.”

Though the gym is relatively new, Champions United Gymnastics Academy has already made a name for itself in the gymnastics community. “We’ve created very successful gymnastics programs and our competitive team has already produced state and regional champions. Regionals is made up of seven states so, that is a big accomplishment this early on,” he says.

The South Jersey region is very competitive in the gymnastics community, and with so many gyms in the area he needed to create a facility and a series of programs that really stood above the rest. Champions United focuses on having the best facility, instruction, programs and a unmatched commitment to safety.

Something for Everyone
The gym presents programs for boys and girls from ages 2 through 18. That includes preschool level, regular and advanced classes, tumbling for cheerleaders, summer camp, birthday parties, team programs and more.

The team of coaches and instructors can accommodate all skill levels, from novice to advanced. Gymnastic classes are split between beginners, intermediate and advanced levels. For the youngest aspiring tumblers, “Mommy and Me” classes bring parents and kids together for fun and exciting games, obstacle courses and tumbling. It is a chance to help develop motor skills, confidence, balance, coordination and social interaction.

In the preschool/beginner class, students can expect to learn basic gymnastics terminology, attain basic skills in all Olympic events, and enjoy additional fun time at the trampoline and tumble track. “In our gym, students will have the greatest opportunity to develop strength, body awareness, coordination, flexibility, socialization, self esteem and love for the sport while developing healthy habits for life,” says Mike.

In the advanced classes, students will continue to develop the skills needed for competing, should they decide to take that route or apply the acquired skills towards other sports. Champions United is also the only gym in the area to offer Rhythmic Gymnastics, coached by the former national coach of Uzbekistan.

This comprehensive offering of programs allows the gym to meet the needs of all of its clients.

Spotlight on Safety
Champions United has created an environment where parents feel safe bringing their kids to learn gymnastics. “Safety is our number one priority; it is a big investment and is certainly worth it, says Mike. For this reason Champions offers an in-ground trampoline and tumble track along with the largest foam pit in New Jersey. At 22 feet by 36 feet wide and six feet deep, the foam pit can cushion even the hardest falls. To learn new tricks, athletes work on equipment connected to the pit, as it is much safer to learn and practice a new trick over the pit before trying it on the floor.

In addition to topnotch equipment, Champions United emphasizes that the best coaches also help make all programs safer and more effective. In September, the coaching staff will be joined by a former Olympian and World and European champion gymnast from Ukraine, and his wife, the Ukrainian National Team choreographer.

No matter what your ultimate gymnastic goals are, there is something for everyone at Champions United Gymnastics Academy. “My goal is to continue to grow a successful gym for my clients, making it a place that everyone can enjoy,” Mike says.
