July 8: Summer Stretch
Lourdes Health System and the Mayor’s Wellness Campaign in Cherry Hill are hosting yoga in the park. Start your day by becoming one with nature as you stretch in the morning sun and enjoy a class that helps you find your balance. July 9: Time Travel
Take a trip back in time with the Medford Historical Society as they visit the Civil War. There will be demonstrations on black powder rifles and how supplies were made, and a look at the lifestyle of the soldiers during the war. This journey will share aglimpse into the past that will fascinate everyone in the family.

It is up to the children of Voorhees to help build a home for insect couple Mr. and Mrs. Ribble. The Traveling Lantern Theater Company will be at the Voorhees library to play interactive games and teach kids about architecture, building and construction. The kids will help design a floor plan for the bugs with the help of a bird architect and an ant contractor.

July 13: Folk Fun 
Bring your lawn chairs and get ready for some music as the Mount Laurel Library and Mount Laurel Township present the 2017 Summer Concert Series with The Jersey Boomers. They will be playing all the folk hits from the ‘50s and ‘60s. This event is free and gives you the chance to experience music from the past as a whole family.

July 15: Golbal Goods
Get your taste buds ready to experience international cuisine without leaving the neighborhood. Take a walk through Haddonfield and enjoy a food tour. The food tour will start off with Great Britain followed by Thailand and Wales then the trip will ultimately sail to the Mediterranean and land in Greece. The food featured includes traditional meals and a fusion of American and international flavors. Purchase tickets in advance so you don’t miss the tour.

If you have ever wondered what it would be like to be a mad scientist, now is your chance to find out. The Garden State Discovery Museum will be at the Glassboro Public Library to teach everyone about the magic behind bubbles and how to create your own. Grab your lab coat and science goggles; it’s going to be an afternoon filled with science fun.

July 22: Happy Birthday, Lucy!
“The World’s Greatest Elephant” turns 136 on July 22. That’s right, Margate’s famous historic landmark Lucy the Elephant is celebrating her birthday making it the perfect excuse to pack the kids up for a visit. Bring lunch and have a picnic on one of their tables and take a guided tour up the spiral steps through Lucy’s insides all the way up to the howdah where you will have a 360-degree view of the area.

July 24: A Whole New World
Moorestown plans on taking you on a musical trip with their Summer Concert Series. Bring a blanket and get ready as the Perkins Flute Ensemble brings the music of Disney to life. Following the sounds of Disney, the Parks and Recreation and MoorArts Teen Theatre will preview Little Shop of Horrors. The night will conclude with a performance of The Wind Symphony of Southern NJ.

Aug. 7: Namaste on the Beach
Calling all Yogis! NJ Beach Yoga invites the community, near and far, to attend their popular event, Full Moon Yoga. Patrons will practice moon salutations as the full moon rises over the ocean on Sea Isle City’s beach. The class will conclude with a powerful full moon meditation. All levels are welcome at this free event.

Aug. 26: Get Your Tri On
If you are a fitness guru, Tri the Wildwoods: Storm the Boards, Run the Piers! is happening at the end of August, just in time to complete your summer season.
