May 26: Open for Business
With summer right around the corner, Stone Harbor is ready to open up their sandy dunes to their loyal beachgoers. The Beach Opening Ceremony kicks off at 9:30 a.m. rain or shine on 95th Street Beach. The Stone Harbor Borough and Beach Patrol invite everyone to the “must-see” event when Mayor Judy Davies- Dunhour welcomes visitors to the beach off the coast via parasail.

June 3: (Craft) Beer Me
If you’re like us, beer, food and music are three of your favorite things. And lucky for us, the Hop Sauce Festival brings all three to Beach Haven for one special event. The festival will boast food from a dozen local restaurants, over 20 craft beer selections and headlining bands for you to rock out to. Just last year, the festival brought in over 6,000 people for a day of celebrations.

June 17: Surf’s Up
The South Jersey Eastern Surfing Association is bringing a surf contest to Ocean City’s 7th Street Beach this summer. The contest will feature all shortboard age divisions, open shortboard, all longboard divisions, bodyboard & SUP competitions. Signups are held the morning of on the beach prior to start time. The entry fee is $20 and $10 more per extra contest.

July 2: Nature & Wildlife Show
f your little ones are fascinated by creatures of all kinds, the Nature & Wildlife Show is coming to the Cape May Convention Hall for a free family fun experience. The show is hosted by Director Steve Serwatka of the New Jersey Nature facility that aims to rescue, rehabilitate and release the state’s wildlife. The kids could see anything that has been taken in by the facility, including an alligator, lizard, otter, snake and more.

July 22: Happy Birthday, Lucy!
“The World’s Greatest Elephant” turns 136 on July 22. That’s right, Margate’s famous historic landmark Lucy the Elephant is celebrating her birthday making it the perfect excuse to pack the kids up for a visit. Bring lunch and have a picnic on one of their tables and take a guided tour up the spiral steps through Lucy’s insides all the way up to the howdah where you will have a 360-degree view of the area.

Aug. 7: Namaste on the Beach
Calling all Yogis! NJ Beach Yoga invites the community, near and far, to attend their popular event, Full Moon Yoga. Patrons will practice moon salutations as the full moon rises over the ocean on Sea Isle City’s beach. The class will conclude with a powerful full moon meditation. All levels are welcome at this free event.

Aug. 26: Get Your Tri On
If you are a fitness guru, Tri the Wildwoods: Storm the Boards, Run the Piers! is happening at the end of August, just in time to complete your summer season. The event features a triathlon, 5K and kids race. The festivities start at 6:30 a.m. sharp and are the perfect way to get your last bit of family fun in before summer’s end.
